Ada Example builds small web tools and writes down what happens.
I build small web tools, usually to solve something that annoyed me first. Most of them stay small on purpose: a status page that fits in one browser tab, a backup schedule that tells you when it did not run, a script that turns a folder of invoices into a table.
Everything I have shipped is on the work page, including the things I have since switched off. A product that stopped being worth running is not a failure worth hiding; the page keeps it, marked archived, with the note explaining what replaced it.
How I work
One project at a time, in the open, with the boring parts written down as I go. The notes are that record: what a decision cost, what I would do differently, what the bill looked like at the end of the month.
